David Price to undergo testing on hand after leaving start early
David Price will undergo tests on his pitching hand after being forced to leave Wednesday’s game early.
Price lasted just one inning of Boston’s game against the New York Yankees. During his brief 35-pitch appearance, Price surrendered four runs on three hits and two walks. After recording the final out, Price was seen looking at his left hand while walking to the Red Sox dugout.
The #RedSox are calling it precautionary for pitcher David Price. He felt a sensation in his left hand. He's being evaluated. He definitely looked at his hand after his last out in the first inning. pic.twitter.com/vQ7FP8eGFy

Price did not come back out for the second inning due to what the Red Sox called a “sensation” in his left hand. Tests will help determine if there is an injury, but this has to be concerning for Price, who had his 2017 season interrupted due to arm injuries.
