David Price to make next start despite hand issue

David Price

David Price is set to make his next start despite a hand issue that led him to leave his last start early.

Price was lifted after throwing just one inning on Wednesday against the New York Yankees. He allowed four runs on three hits and two walks while throwing 35 pitches. Price did not come out for the second after feeling a sensation in his hand and was set to undergo testing on his hand afterwards.

Even though there were concerns after he left his start, manager Alex Cora said the signs were positive about Price a day later. Cora also said that Price would make his next start on Tuesday in Anaheim. That gives him an extra day of rest between starts.

Price said that he woke up on Thursday knowing he felt better and that sometimes he loses feeling in parts of his body in the cold, which could explain what happened on Wednesday.

Price is 1-1 with a 2.40 ERA in three starts this season.
