David Ross cracks joke about his Game 7 tickets
Either the Chicago Cubs or Cleveland Indians will end a very long World Series drought with Wednesday night’s Game 7, but one player who is soon to be unemployed has some jokes about it.
Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross is retiring after the game no matter what, and with secondhand ticket prices surging for the climactic game, he’s thinking maybe he should take the option of securing his future.

Ross is the Cubs’ designated veteran leader. Some of his teammates would probably call him the old guy, because he parties like one. With lines like this, he’s no doubt keeping a young Cubs clubhouse loose ahead of the biggest game of their lives.
