Dee Gordon gets diamond crusted pendant for winning batting title
When Dee Gordon was traded to the Marlins from the Dodgers, Miami new it was getting a speedster who could wreak havoc on the base paths. He was certainly that during hist first season with Marlins, and more.
In addition to his National League leading 58 stolen bases, Gordon led the league in hits (205) and average (.333) as well. He also took home his first Gold Glove Award.
For winning the batting title, Gordon received a gift on Tuesday from team owner Jeffrey Loria in the form of a diamond crusted pendant.
On it says “2015 National League Batting Champion” along with the Marlins logo, Gordon’s uniform No. 9, and his batting average for the year. Here’s a closeup courtesy of Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald.

Loria has, deservedly, had his share of critics over the years. This time though, he gets a round of applause. That thing is pretty sweet.
