Denver lacrosse team clowns local newspaper over Coors Field error
The Denver Post is getting hit with some friendly fire over a recent error that they made in a feature about Coors Field, the home of the Colorado Rockies.
The feature, which was printed in the Friday edition of the paper, went viral after readers noticed that an image of Citizens Bank Park, the home of the Philadelphia Phillies, was incorrectly used instead of the actual Coors Field.

On Saturday, the University of Denver’s men’s lacrosse team jumped at their opportunity to tweet a funny reference to the error. The team was actually in Pennsylvania for a match against Villanova over the weekend (which they won 22-6) and passed by Citizens Bank Park on the way back to the airport. You can probably guess where they went with the reference.

Granted, this wasn’t the most savage shot that the paper took over the error. But the fact that it came from a fellow Denver enterprise probably stings a bit.
