Derek Jeter may have finally put a ring on it.
According to a report from the New York Daily News, the former New York Yankees shortstop has gotten engaged to girlfriend Hannah Davis.
“She already has the ring. The family is very happy because they really like him,” the Daily News reports.
You should proceed with caution about this report. Keep in mind that the Daily News has jumped the gun with speculation about an engagement between the two many times in the past, including this report two years ago. Then there was speculation a year ago that the two had a secret wedding.
Whatever the case, we know the former 14-time All-Star was looking towards the future after his retirement.
“I want to have a family,” Jeter said last year in an interview with NBC. “Who knows when it’s gonna’ be? But I look forward to it.”
Jeter, 41, has dated Minka Kelly, Mariah Carey, Jessica Biel, and Jordana Brewster among others in the past. He has been with Davis, 25, since 2012, though they reportedly had some time apart in between.
