The Los Angeles Dodgers just continue to stockpile All-Star pitchers.
Just two days after landing American League Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal, the Dodgers are now bringing in Kansas City Royals left-hander Kris Bubic, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

The Athletics reportedly showed interest in Bubic in June, but their losing skid changed the direction ahead of the trade deadline.
Bubic was an All-Star in 2025 as he went 8-7 with a 2.55 ERA, which was a career-high in both wins and ERA. In 2026, the left-hander has a 3-2 record and a 4.11 ERA, although he missed significant time due to injuries.
Bibic hasn’t pitched since May 14 due to elbow soreness, so he won’t make an impact right away. He is also in the final year of his contract, so it is a low-risk, high-reward move for LA.
There is a chance Bubic returns in August, but in the very worst-case scenario, the southpaw makes his return in September, just in time for the playoff push as LA adds another valuable arm.
