The Los Angeles Dodgers managerial vacancy, the only one currently in the MLB, could be filled in just a matter of hours now.
ESPN’s Buster Olney reported on Sunday that a hiring decision is expected to be made by no later than Monday.

The Dodgers parted ways with Don Mattingly, who had been the manager of the team since 2008, last month after another subpar postseason showing.
Jerry Crasnick of ESPN reported on Wednesday that the search has been narrowed down to a two-horse race between Gabe Kapler and Dave Roberts.
Indications are #Dodgers manager job will come down to Gabe Kapler and Dave Roberts. Bud Black appears to be out of the mix.

Kapler, 40, is the current Director of Player Development for the Dodgers. Meanwhile, Roberts, 43, played three seasons with the Dodgers from 2002-2004 before joining the San Diego Padres as a coach, a post he has held since 2011.
Whichever former Major Leaguer team president Andrew Friedman and the rest of the Dodgers front office decide to hire will inherit perhaps the most talented roster in the league, but also perhaps the highest expectations of any team in baseball.
