Fernando Tatis Jr. heard about Ronald Acuña Jr.’s big throw on Friday night and decided to remind everyone of what he can do.
Tatis’ San Diego Padres were leading the Washington Nationals 2-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning at Nationals Park in Washington D.C. Brady House was batting with runners on first and second with nobody out. He lined a ball to right field and it went right to Tatis. Tatis was able to set up for a throw to third base and nailed Josh Bell, who had tagged up in an attempt to take the extra base.

That was thrown on a line and seemed to leave Bell surprised. How does that compare to what Acuña did on Friday?
The Padres won the game 7-2 thanks to a grand slam from Manny Machado. Dylan Cease struck out 10 over 5.1 scoreless innings, though he took a no decision. That throw by Tatis was said to have been 96 mph. And he threw it with tremendous accuracy.
