Watch: Gary Sanchez takes foul ball to groin
Gary Sanchez took a painful shot to his manly region on Monday night, but he managed to stay in the game.
Yuli Gurriel was batting for the Houston Astros in the bottom of the seventh inning against Zach Britton and foul tipped a pitch. The ball unfortunately went straight to Sanchez’s groin.

Sanchez was checked out by the New York Yankees’ trainer and needed a few minutes to gather himself, but he did stay in the game.
This seems like a cruel joke by the Baseball Gods aimed at humbling Sanchez following his 3-homer game a day earlier. Unfortunately, we see these nut shots in sports more often than we’d like to.
