Jung Hoo Lee’s incredible catch left Giants pitcher in disbelief
San Francisco Giants center fielder Jung Hoo Lee impressed everyone Friday with an incredible chase-down catch he made. His biggest fan was inarguably Giants starting pitcher Jordan Hicks.
The Giants trailed the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 in the bottom of the 4th inning at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pa.
Phillies center fielder Johan Rojas was the first batter up to face Hicks in the inning. Rojas smashed the first pitch he saw to deep left-center field. Lee managed to outpace the baseball and made a spectacular running catch without turning his shoulder.

The speedy Rojas could have very well had a triple had Lee not made the play.
What made the catch even better was Hicks’ reaction. The 27-year-old pitcher mouthed two words in disbelief.
“Holy f–k,” Hicks appeared to mutter after witnessing Lee’s catch.

The play probably excited Lee’s massive fan club as well. The Giants rookie went viral earlier this season for having a huge contingent of his fans partying behind home plate at Oracle Park.
Lee’s highlight catch, however, wasn’t enough to ignite the Giants’ bats at the plate. The visitors lost to the Phillies 4-3.
