San Francisco Giants players voiced some frustration over the amount of Los Angeles Dodgers fans in attendance for Friday’s game at Oracle Park in San Francisco, Ca.

A large contingent of Dodgers fans got into Friday’s game and made themselves heard, largely on the same side of the field as the Dodger dugout. They could be clearly heard in particular when Shohei Ohtani homered into McCovey Cove in the third inning.

Two Giants players sounded off on that after the game. Pitcher Logan Webb admitted there had been a “great atmosphere” in the stadium, but that there had been “probably a little too many Dodger fans in the stands.” Shortstop Willy Adames went further.

“Not gonna lie, I feel like we had too many Dodgers fans today. Maybe tomorrow we get more San Francisco fans,” Adames said.

San Francisco is far from the only stadium that gets invaded by Dodger fans from time to time. It is a bit more bitter for Giants fans, since this is a long-standing rivalry.

The Giants did hold on to win the game 8-7, handing the Dodgers a seventh consecutive loss. Their fans can take plenty of solace in that.
