Giants manager Bruce Bochy also says that Bumgarner will make at least three rehab starts, which means he wouldn’t return to the big club until June even if all goes well.
Bumgarner has been out since breaking his pinkie during spring training. He was limited to 111 innings last year after injuring himself in a dirt bike accident, and now he’ll only see limited duty again this year. The southpaw is a four-time All-Star and three-time World Series champ.
