The San Francisco Giants won their third World Series in five years on Wednesday night, but that didn’t stop some of their fans from acting like they have never been there before.
According to CBS News, at least two people were shot and one was stabbed after the Giants beat the Kansas City Royals. Both gunshot victims, who were allegedly shot while celebrating in the Mission District within walking distance of AT&T Park, are expected to survive. Police spokesman Gordon Shyy said no information is known about the stabbing victim.
In addition to the violence, police also reported several bonfires being lit and fireworks being set off. Fans climbed on top of buses in some areas, which is fairly common for a championship celebration. Several arrests were made as bottles were reportedly thrown at police officers wearing riot gear.

Of course, there were thousands of people who celebrated peacefully. You’re always going to get a handful of people who take things too far, but you hate to hear about gunshots and stabbings. A few morons really can spoil an otherwise joyous occasion.
