Max Scherzer has apparently brought a fun, light-hearted atmosphere to the Washington Nationals clubhouse. Look no further than what happened Wednesday as evidence.
Fellow pitcher Gio Gonzalez did an interview with MASN during the team’s spring training game and slipped in 10 “meow” mentions in place of the word “now,” which is a nod to the hilarious game played by two of the characters in LBS favorite film “Super Troopers.”
We’re not sure if Gonzalez and Scherzer were inspired by Thomas DeCoud, who did the same thing during an ESPN interview a few years ago, but we don’t care. Any time someone wants to pay homage to “Super Troopers,” it’s alright by us.
And we definitely saw Gonzalez drinking milk from a saucer!
