Milwaukee Brewers star pitcher Jacob Misiorowski shares a lot more in common with two-time Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom than a first name.
Misiorowski has been dominant in his three starts since the Brewers called him up from Triple-A earlier this month. The right-hander had another strong outing on Tuesday night, allowing just two hits and striking out eight in a 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wis.
Those who have watched Misiorowski early in his career have noticed that the 23-year-old has very similar mechanics to deGrom’s. One amazing side-by-side comparison shows just how similar the two pitchers look with their delivery.

To some fans, that is not all that comforting. deGrom has undergone multiple elbow surgeries during his career. There are numerous factors that contribute to injuries, however, so there is no need to panic over Misiorowski’s mechanics being similar to deGrom’s.
deGrom already has 16 starts this season, which is his highest total since he won the NL Cy Young Award with the New York Mets in 2019. The 37-year-old is 8-2 with a 2.08 ERA and having a dominant season for the Texas Rangers thus far.
Misiorowski improved to 3-0 with a 1.13 ERA with his win over the Pirates on Wednesday night. Fans were buzzing about the matchup between Misiorowski and Pittsburgh ace Paul Skenes, but the latter did not have his best game.
