Jacoby Ellsbury has mastered very odd skill at the plate
Players are always in search of little competitive advantages in every sport, and baseball is no different. Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury has found one skill in particular that has apparently served him well.
Ellsbury has induced catcher’s interference seven times this season, more than the rest of the American League combined.
Jacoby Ellsbury has 7 catcher's interference this season.
The rest of the AL has combined for 6 catcher's interference.

It’s a nice, efficient way for Ellsbury to get to first base. It seems like it would be a pretty difficult thing to get control of, but more power to him if he has. It may even get him enough credit that the Yankee Stadium scoreboard won’t mess up his name anymore.
