Jedd Gyorko traded from Cardinals to Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers have made one of their classic depth moves as they gear up for the postseason.
According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Dodgers have added infielder Jedd Gyorko in a trade with the St. Louis Cardinals.

This is definitely a move for the playoffs. Gyorko is on the IL with back problems and is not expected back until September, having only played 38 games this season. However, he has a successful track record against left-handed pitching throughout his career. That is likely the sort of role the Dodgers have in mind in adding him if they come up against a tough lefty in the postseason.
