Report: Joe Maddon expected to be announced as Angels manager this week
All signs continue to point to Joe Maddon becoming the Los Angeles Angels’ next manager.
Earlier on Monday, a report said Maddon to the Angels was a “done deal.” Later in the evening, Bleacher Report MLB reporter Scott Miller said the Angels were expected to announce Maddon as their manager a day or two after interviewing him.
Multiple sources expect #Angels to announce Joe Maddon as new manager as soon as a day or two after his interview this week. Says one source: "It's a fait accompli, isn't it?"

Maddon spent 31 years in the Angels’ organization as a player and a coach at multiple levels of the team’s system. He was the bench coach when the Angels won the World Series in 2002.
The Angels would be fortunate to have a manager who took the Cubs and Rays to World Series and won the Cubs’ first championship in over 100 years. The Cubs decided not to bring Maddon back after his contract expired following the season, one in which the Cubs collapsed late and missed the playoffs.
