FOX is making a change to its lead broadcast team for MLB coverage.
John Smoltz will team with Joe Buck on the network’s No. 1 announcing team, FOX announced Tuesday.
Tom Verducci and Harold Reynolds had been working alongside Buck as part of the top announcing team. Verducci will continue to work as an analyst for a lower team. SI’s Richard Deitsch reports that FOX would also like to bring back Reynolds in some capacity.
And the other piece of news you no doubt were waiting for: Pete Rose will be back next year too.
