Jose Iglesias shoves James McCann, throws glove at him in dugout (Video)
During Friday’s game between the Red Sox and Tigers, shorstop Jose Iglesias and catcher James McCann had to be separated in the dugout after tempers flared.
Between innings, Iglesias clearly took exception to something said by McCann, resulting in Iglesias shoving McCann and teammates intervening. After being restrained by Nick Castellanos, Iglesias fired his glove in anger towards McCann.
The broadcast speculated the argument could have stemmed from something that happened when the Tigers were in the field. Bob Wojnowski of the Detroit News offers a single hit by Rusney Castillo as a potential source for the disagreement.
Iglesias didn't dive for ball hit by Castillo in top of 6th. Went for a single that led to two runs. Guessing that's where the spat started.

It will be interesting to see what, if anything, is said about the spat after the ballgame.
Heading into the weekend, the Tigers have gone 9-11 since the All-Star break and are now without David Price and Yoenis Cespedes. On a positive note, Detroit is just 4.5 games back of a wild card spot.
