Josh Donaldson has a new home run celebration that’s clearly meant to live up to his “Bringer of Rain” nickname.
The Atlanta Braves third baseman had most of his teammates in on the new celebration, including first base coach Eric Young, who simulated falling rain as Donaldson went past him. Once arriving in the dugout, Donaldson was handed an umbrella by a teammate before running through the dugout and being showered with seeds.

Donaldson has used the “Bringer of Rain” nickname for quite some time and has explained where it comes from. He’s really leaning into it now. As it was his 29th home run of the year, it’s certainly something that he may be doing several more times before the end of the regular season, much less the playoffs.
Plus, maybe something flashy like this will help Alex Rodriguez learn who he is.
