Los Angeles Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton reportedly had a disciplinary meeting with Major League Baseball on Wednesday, though details of the meeting have yet to emerge. According to one report, Hamilton may wind up getting suspended for something fairly serious.
Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that he was told Hamilton is facing disciplinary action for something that would be considered “worse” than performance-enhancing drug use.
We can only speculate as to what that means. Whereas Hamilton has a history of drug and alcohol addiction, I suppose someone could consider testing positive for recreational drugs “worse” than PEDs in his case. But again, that is only speculation. Until we hear for sure, it’s unfair to make any assumptions.
