Josh Reddick paid tribute to Ultimate Warrior during interview (Video)
Oakland A’s outfielder Josh Reddick is a big WWE fan, and like many other kids who grew up in the 1990s he was disappointed by the recent passing of The Ultimate Warrior. So when Reddick appeared on MLB Network’s “Intentional Talk” on Monday, he took the opportunity to pay tribute to one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history.
Reddick came on camera sporting his Ultimate Warrior mask, shirt and armbands.
“The legend passed away a little over a week and a half ago after being inducted into the Hall of Fame, so I figured I’d switch my walk-up music and do a little tribute here for him,” Reddick said. “Everybody knows I’m a huge wrestling buff, so why not?”
Reddick also arrived at the interview by going into a full Warrior-style sprint from right field. It wasn’t quite as touching a tribute as the one we saw on RAW last week, but it was a great gesture. You know you were a legend when professional athletes from other sports worship you.
