Juan Soto beats his chest after sending Yankees to World Series with 3-run home run
The New York Yankees are back in the World Series, and they have Juan Soto to thank.
Soto delivered a massive 3-run home run in the top of the 10th inning of ALCS Game 5 between his Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday night. The home run made it 5-2 and sealed the deal, as the Yankees shut down the Guardians in the bottom of the 10th to win the game.
Reliever Hunter Gaddis had Soto 1-2 and threw a 95-mph fastball up in the zone that the Yankees lefty slugged to deep center field to break the tie.
Soto was so fired up that he peered into the Yankee dugout and beat his chest before touching first base.

Soto left the Cleveland crowd stunned, while exciting his teammates and the numerous Yankees fans who were in attendance.
That was Soto’s third home run of the postseason and gave him 9 RBIs, and it showed exactly why the Yankees gave up so much to San Diego to acquire Soto in a trade during the offseason. Few players have the potential to give you a regular season with an OPS near 1.000 and hit a big home run like that in the playoffs.
Now the Yankees are back in the World Series for the first time since 2009, which is also the last year they won it all.
