Khris Davis loses glove over outfield wall trying to make catch; fan throws it back (Video)
Khris Davis of the Milwaukee Brewers had himself quite an evening against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field on Monday.
In the third inning, Freddie Freeman drove a Wily Peralta pitch to left field, where Davis was stationed. Racing towards the outfield wall, Davis then scaled it to make a valiant attempt to rob Freeman of a home run.
Unfortunately the ball, and Davis’ glove, ended up on the other side of the wall.
Freddie Freeman had his ninth home run of the season and Khris Davis temporarily lost a valuable piece of equipment. Thankfully, a fan tossed the outfielder’s leather back to him.
In the fifth inning, Davis hit a home run of his own (a two-run shot). No gloves were lost this time.
