Lenny Dykstra suing police for $15 million, claims he has brain damage

lenny-dykstraFormer MLB outfielder Lenny Dykstra is suing Los Angeles County after he claims he was savagely beaten by several deputies during his stint in L.A. County jail.

TMZ reports that Dysktra is suing for $15 million, alleging that he suffered brain damage and was beaten so badly “his teeth were broken out of his skull.” Dykstra claims in new court documents that one of the six deputies who roughed him up simply didn’t like him and made it a mission to assault him.

Lenny says as a result of the beating, he fears he may have brain damage and worries that “his head is not entirely well.”

He also claims he’s still without teeth and suffers from eating problems.

Lenny says he believes the attack was captured on video — but worries it was later destroyed.

Dykstra, who was sentenced to three years in prison in March 2012 after pleading no-contest to charges of grand theft auto and filing a false financial statement, previously said that law enforcement officials prevented him from receiving proper medical treatment after he was allegedly beaten.

Dykstra last played in the MLB in 1996, and his post-playing life has been nothing shy of a circus. In addition to his financial legal problems, he has also been accused of having a housekeeper give him oral sex as part of her weekly duties. The three-time All-Star is a real winner.
