The San Francisco Giants have received very bad news on starter Madison Bumgarner.
According to Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle, Bumgarner sustained a fractured left hand during Friday’s spring training game.

Bumgarner at doc now. No prognosis yet. "Horrible news for us. That's all you can say about it. There's nothing you can do but push on," Bochy said.

Bumgarner sustained the injury when he was hit on the hand by a line drive.
It’s unclear how long Bumgarner will be out, but given that this is a fracture of his pitching hand, you’d have to figure he’s going to miss significant time to start the season.
