It may be the final weekend of MLB season, but Seattle Mariners manager Scott Servais is still trying to make a statement.
Servais admitted that he benched shortstop Jean Segura during Friday night’s victory over the Texas Rangers for failing to run hard on a play at the plate in the second inning.
Servais says Segura was taken out of game in third because he didn't run hard on play at plate in seven-run second and he wants team playing hard to finish.
Sending a message: "Yes."
Will Segura play tomorrow: "We'll see."

Even the biggest names in baseball can be prone to a lack of hustle at times, but this is probably hard to enforce at this point of the season. The Mariners have been eliminated from playoff contention, and it remains to be seen if his message will be heard by Segura.
