Oakland’s Mark Canha not apologizing for bat flip
Oakland A’s utility man Mark Canha is not about to apologize for bat flipping.
Canha smashed a 2-run home run in the 7th inning on Saturday night to give the A’s a 4-3 lead of the rival San Francisco Giants. The homer was the difference in the game, so Canha was justifiably pumped about it. He was so pumped that he even bat-flipped.

The bat flip was not received well by Giants fans, who apparently let Canha know about it. And just when he was thinking of apologizing, he decided not to.
Mark Canha, on the bat toss: “I got on Twitter and got out in front of this a little bit, and I’m sure a lot of San Franciscans are offended by that, and I’m sorry.”
Then he took it back.
“People getting offended by bat flips is so silly. I’m not sorry. I’m not really sorry.”

Giants reliever Tony Watson was asked about Canha’s flip and brushed it aside.
For everyone looking to blow up Mark Canha’s bat flip…the pitcher who gave up the homer, Tony Watson, doesn’t care. “I mean, he got me.”

Canha’s bat flip was so minimal anyhow that fans should not be complaining. The guy had a huge hit in a huge circumstance. Nobody should be mad about his reaction.
