Report: Mets could bring back Jay Bruce
The New York Mets could still pursue a reunion with outfielder Jay Bruce.
Bruce, who played with the Mets for parts of 2016 and 2017, has been in contact with the Mets, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.
Mets have spoken in recent days with Jay Bruce's agent. Bruce still very much a possibility.

Bruce hit 37 home runs over 153 games with the Mets, who are looking for some veteran pop in the lineup. The free agent would certainly fit the bill.
The 30-year-old had previously been linked to another NL team, but they haven’t appeared to follow up on that interest, leaving an opening for the Mets if they want to take it.
