Mets player goes viral for his unusual attire during game
New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo certainly came prepared for the elements on Saturday.
Nimmo went viral during the team’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals for his unconventional attire. He was wearing a hoodie underneath his jersey and played that way for the entire contest.
Take a look at the Little League-esque look.

The hoodie was apparently good luck for Nimmo, who produced two hits on the day while wearing it, including a two-RBI single in the fifth inning.

The Mets still went on to lose 7-4 to fall to 13-13 on the season. But at least Nimmo got to look good while doing so.
It was a fairly chilly day in New York with a high of 59 degrees and some occasional showers. That gave the 31-year-old Nimmo just the opportunity he needed to push the envelope with his fashion. The last time that we saw something that cutting-edge was with an NFL wide receiver in the winter.
