Miguel Andujar may return to IL with lingering shoulder issue
New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar has gotten off to a miserable start to 2019, apparently because of a shoulder problem.
Manager Aaron Boone said that Andujar could land on the IL again as soon as Monday, with the shoulder a big reason he’s struggling.
Boone says Andujar might go back on the IL as soon as tonight, that the shoulder is a factor in his struggles.

Andujar was the runner-up for AL Rookie of the Year in 2018, but has hit just .128 with no power so far in 2019. He missed most of April after a shoulder injury that the Yankees feared might cost him the entire season. On his return, he still isn’t hitting, and it’s pretty clear that he isn’t right physically and isn’t helping the team.
