Miguel Andujar facing season-ending surgery on shoulder
Miguel Andujar is facing the possibility of season-ending surgery.
Andujar injured his right shoulder diving back into third base on a back-pick attempt by the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday.

Andujar stayed in the game, but he was injured on the play. The Yankees placed him on the 10-day injured list Monday with a small labrum tear in his right shoulder.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after Monday’s game that Andujar was facing the possibility of season-ending surgery, though they are hoping he will respond to conservative treatment first so they don’t have to go down that path.

Andujar was second in AL Rookie of the Year voting last season after batting .297 with 47 doubles, 27 homers and an .855 OPS. Baseball-Reference credited the third baseman with a 2.2 WAR.
