Minnesota steakhouse played hilarious prank on umpire Joe West
Longtime umpire Joe West moved into second place all-time on Wednesday among MLB umpires when he worked his 5,164th game, and the city that hosted him when he reached the milestone had a fantastic way of celebrating it.
West dined at Manny’s Steakhouse in Minneapolis earlier this week, and the restaurant had a custom menu made for him. It was all braille.

Like any longtime MLB ump, West has drawn plenty of criticism over bad calls in the past. That’s all part of the job, and he almost certainly got a laugh out of the prank Manny’s played on him.
