The Washington Nationals are no longer using a photo of a bearded Danny Espinosa on the jumbotron during home games, and the shortstop as well as his fans do not seem too pleased about the development.
At the start of the season, the photo used for Espinosa when he was up to bat showed him with a bushy beard:

Washington Post reporter Chelsea Janes noticed Monday that the photo of Espinosa had been changed, and she resolved to find out why.
Suddenly, Danny Espinosa's picture on the jumbotron no longer features the mountain man beard. I will investigate.

Danny Espinosa and Nats spokesperson declined to comment on what happened with beard pic. Espi, smiling, said only it was not his choice.

Fans are not too pleased about the situation, and it seems Espinosa is not sure what happened.

Hey @Nationals! Bring back Espinosa’s beard pic for the scoreboard!! #WeWantEspiBeard #Nats

So do we know yet why Danny Espinosa's scoreboard picture was changed?! Loved the beard photo! @Nationals @masnKolko @chelsea_janes

The Nats better address this matter sooner rather than later. The last thing they would want is to be blamed for this if Espi ends up slumping!
