Report: Nationals would give up Lucas Giolito to get Andrew Miller
How desperate are the Washington Nationals to get some relief help? The answer appears to be very desperate indeed.
According to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports, the Nationals would be willing to trade top prospect Lucas Giolito in a one-for-one deal to acquire Yankees reliever Andrew Miller.
Sources who have spoken with #Nats believe they would trade Lucas Giolito to #Yankees for Andrew Miller, straight up.

Giolito is a consensus top five prospect in all of baseball with the potential to be an elite starting pitcher. Most observers would say that the Yankees should make his deal in a second if it is actually on the table. Yet:
for the record, yankees would not do this https://t.co/dPM9QZdJk2

I have a hard time believing both reports. In fact, I would consider it a decent possibility that the Yankees leaked this to try to drive up the asking price for Miller, a player they are reportedly not motivated to move. It may just be clubs posturing through the media with the trade deadline closing in.
