Nationals’ Trea Turner leaves game after being hit in finger/hand
Trea Turner left Tuesday’s Washington Nationals-Philadelphia Phillies game after being hit in the finger/hand in the first inning.
Turner was batting second in the bottom of the first and took the first pitch for a strike. The next pitch he tried to drag bunt, but the pitch hit him in the right hand where he had slid it up the bat for the bunt. He appeared to be hit on the right index finger and could be seen on TV mouthing to the trainer that he couldn’t move his finger.

This injury will recall bad memories for Nats fans. Turner missed nearly half of the 2017 season after being hit in the wrist.
Any time Turner misses would be a huge loss. The young shortstop has been hot to start the season and has collected a double, two homers, four RBIs and four stolen bases.
