Tyler Herro has a legal mess to deal with, and it involves someone he used to be in a relationship with.
According to TMZ, Milwaukee Bucks star shooting guard Tyler Herro is embroiled in a legal battle with his former girlfriend, Katya Henry, with their children at the center of it.
The crux of the dispute between Herro and Henry is custody and child support.
They have two kids, a daughter born in 2021 and a son who was born in 2023.
Herro, who said he had been paying child support since Henry gave birth, initially wanted the court’s help to specify a parenting schedule and the child support amount, but the former Kentucky Wildcats star has since dismissed the case.
Henry, on the other hand, is after primary custody of their children, per her filing. While she wants the kids to still have contact with Herro, she is requesting “safeguards” to be put in place.
Herro and Henry were in a romantic relationship for seven years, according to the petition she filed.
This is a situation Herro has to live with amid the start of his new journey in the NBA. The 2021-22 NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award winner was part of a huge trade package the Miami Heat sent to the Bucks in July in exchange for two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo and veteran forward Bobby Portis.
The 26-year-old Herro has career averages in the NBA of 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 394 games played.
