Noah Syndergaard exits start early, has possible lat strain
New York Mets ace Noah Syndergaard’s injury issues are continuing.
Syndergaard left Sunday’s start against the Washington Nationals in the second inning and appeared to be grabbing his bicep as he departed. For the moment, the Mets are calling the injury a lat strain, with an MRI pending.
#Mets announcing Syndergaard injury as possible lat strain. He’s going back to New York for an MRI. Assume he won’t refuse this one.

The Mets’ ace surrendered five runs on five hits in his start, and was clearly lacking effectiveness.
Syndergaard looks rather bad right now. He wasn’t able to start Thursday with a biceps issue, forcing one of his teammates into a start on very short notice. Additionally, as Klapisch alludes to, Syndergaard refused an MRI, a decision that looks short-sighted now.
