Report: Padres trying to move Andrew Cashner, Derek Norris
The San Diego Padres are looking like an active team at the trade deadline and have at least two key players on the block.
Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reported that the Padres are trying to move catcher Derek Norris in addition to starting pitcher Andrew Cashner.
In addition to Andrew Cashner, the Padres are pushing hard to move catcher Derek Norris, major league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Norris is headed for his second arbitration year in 2017, but he’s having a terrible season, hitting just over .200. It’s hard to imagine him commanding a big return with the offensive struggles he’s had. Perhaps throwing him into a package deal may benefit the Padres and enable them to offload the player.
In addition to Cashner and Norris, the Padres have another player attracting interest. Expect to see them do something before the deadline passes.
