Pete Rose thinks he will get into Hall of Fame, maybe when he’s dead (Video)

Pete Rose Time

Pete Rose TimePete Rose believes he will eventually be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame, even if it’s posthumously.

Rose did an interview with Lee Cowan of “CBS This Morning” that will air on Sunday morning and said he believes he will get in at some point.

“Yes, sure,” Rose said when questioned by Cowan about whether he thinks he’ll get in. “I don’t know if I’ll live to see it. Someone at some period in time will feel it in their heart to give me a second chance. I might be six feet under, but that’s what you have to live with.”

Rose was also asked why he gambled on games he managed and lied about it. He didn’t have a good answer.

“That’s a good question,” Rose said via Eye on Baseball. “I can’t answer it. I wish I had an answer. I usually got an answer for everything. I just simply… the best way to say it is, I screwed up.”

While I started to feel like it was time to let Rose into the Hall, I stopped having sympathy for him after learning that Bud Selig laid out a reinstatement plan for him that he ruined. The guy is just a bozo. It’s hard to feel badly for him when he keeps doing it to himself.
