Report: Phillies acquire Justin Bour
The Philadelphia Phillies are adding some power to their bench as they look to make the playoffs.
According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Phillies claimed Miami Marlins first baseman Justin Bour off waivers and worked out a trade to acquire him on Friday.

Bour likely profiles as a bench bat for the Phillies. The lefty has 19 home runs this year after hitting 25 in 2017. The Phillies were quite aggressive in pursuing a bat before the trade deadline, but they fell short. Bour is cheaper and low-risk, but he can add a bit of pop to their bench.
