Bryce Harper’s return to Nationals Park may have began slowly, but he heated up as the game went on.
Harper struck out in his first two at-bats, leading the Washington Nationals’ Twitter account to troll him. He then smacked a double in his third at-bat, an RBI single in his fourth, and he launched a 2-run home run after that.
The homer was a 458-footer to the second deck:

The major blast was well-received by Phillies fans, who began a “We got Harper” chant in the opponent’s stadium.
WE. GOT. HARPER.

This was quite a revenge game for Harper and probably just a taste of how things are going to go between these clubs over the next decade.
