Fans are overjoyed that MLB baseball is officially back, but the Tampa Bay Rays may have taken the cake for the single best reaction tweet.

The MLB lockout officially ended Thursday as the MLB Players Association agreed to the league’s proposal for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Spring Training will now begin shortly and there is also a new date set for Opening Day 2022 as well.

The Rays posted a great reaction to the news on Twitter. They shared a meme of a smiling stingray with the caption “Local Stingray In Great Mood.”

It is unclear what the exact origin of the meme is. But it has been used by Rays fans over the last few years to celebrate victories and other positive developments for their team. Rays pitcher Shane McClanahan has even gotten in on the fun too.

The Rays certainly have plenty to be excited about in 2022. They won 100 games last season for the very first time in franchise history, one year after making the World Series as well. Tampa Bay is also coming off back-to-back American League East division titles.

Anticipation is at a fever pitch now that baseball is finally back. Even better is that it means we get more fire tweets from the Rays’ social media team.
