Report: Red Sox seek interview with Ron Gardenhire for managerial position
The Boston Red Sox are beginning to sit down with potential managerial candidates, including one fairly experienced option.
FOX Sports’s Ken Rosenthal reported Sunday that the Red Sox have asked for permission to speak to former Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire about their vacant managerial position.

Gardenhire is currently the bench coach with the Arizona Diamondbacks, but is said to be a finalist for the Boston job. He spent 13 seasons at the helm of the Twins, winning six AL Central titles — though he went just 6-21 in the playoffs, advancing past the ALDS only once in his tenure.
