Report: Matt Harvey depressed about Adriana Lima dumping him
The latest twist in the Matt Harvey saga may get you to feel a little sympathy for the guy.
A day after the New York Post’s Page Six reported that Harvey was out partying until 4 a.m. the day he no-showed on the Mets, the outlet reported that the pitcher has been depressed over some girl problems.
According to Page Six, Harvey grew sad after seeing photos of Adriana Lima with Julian Edelman at a Met Gala afterparty. Harvey briefly dated Lima, who had broken up with her New England Patriots boyfriend.
Seeing Lima back together with her ex apparently saddened Harvey. Lima also reportedly unfollowed the Mets pitcher on Instagram.
Some speculate that Harvey went out drinking Friday night/early Saturday morning to blow off some steam and try forgetting about the model. Page Six even went as far as to link his bad consecutive pitching outings to his depression over his love life.
Harvey was suspended three games by the Mets for missing Saturday’s game. On Tuesday he apologized to his team.
