
Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Roberto Osuna was arrested on Tuesday and charged with assault on a woman.
Details of the incident are being kept under wraps to protect the identity of the alleged victim, but John Lott of The Athletic reports that Toronto police arrested Osuna in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The 23-year-old has been released and is due to appear in court on June 18.
Osuna has saved nine games in 10 chances for the Blue Jays this season after he posted 39 saves in 2017 and 36 in 2016. He has an ERA of 2.95 and has struck out 15 batters in 15.1 innings.
