Ronald Acuna in wheelchair after suffering knee injury
The Atlanta Braves are taking every precaution possible with their young phenom.
Ronald Acuna suffered a knee injury while running out a hit during Sunday’s game against the Boston Red Sox. He was removed from the game and taken to a hospital for evaluation.

According to MLB.com’s Mark Bowman, Acuna was in a wheelchair when he boarded a flight from Boston to Atlanta on Sunday night.
Acuna was in a wheelchair when he boarded a commercial flight from Boston to Atlanta late Sunday evening. Even if the injury isn’t significant, there’s no need for him to put undue pressure on the knee.

The Braves have yet to announce the status of Acuna since he went to the hospital. All they said was that he left the game due to knee and lower back pain.

The 20-year-old is batting .265 with seven doubles and five home runs since being called up to the bigs a month ago.
