Jac Caglianone finally blasted his first career big-league home run on Thursday, and his Kansas City Royals teammates had a familiar reaction to the milestone.

Caglianone, who made his MLB debut on June 3, hit a solo home run in the top of the second inning of the Royals’ 4-1 win over the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

The rookie was completely ignored by his teammates when he returned to the dugout after rounding the bases.

Caglianone had to give out air high-fives for about 20 seconds before Royals players finally came over and bombarded him.

The silent treatment is a right of passage for players after they hit their first MLB big fly. Heck, even Shohei Ohtani received it after his first career homer years ago.

Caglianone was known for his power in college at Florida. He has gotten off to a slow start to his MLB career and needed 14 games to hit his first homer, but it was not his only one on Thursday.

In the top of the ninth, Caglianone launched another ball out of the park.
